Unwelcome Tenants

The trouble with unoccupied houses is that unwelcome tenants can move in and, once established, they're the devil to get out again.  This extremely desirable property is a nesting box on Gael Cameron's property, and it was her daughter, Holly, who pointed out that....

....it had been invaded by a swarm of wasps, who have blocked up most of the entrance hole and filled the interior with their paper-like nest.

Not the sort of neighbours you want, particularly when you think about the hundreds of baby wasps that are being reared inside.

Many thanks to Gael Cameron for the pictures.
