The Ardnamurchan Bunkhouse

Here's a new and much-needed facility for West Ardnamurchan - the Ardnamurchan Bunkhouse. Located in a beautifully tranquil woodland setting in Glenborrodale, it offers versatile, eco-friendly, self-catered or catered accommodation. Unlike other bunkhouses, it has eight en-suite rooms - either single, twin or family - for up to sixteen guests, all perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and wildlife watchers who crave a few home comforts. A covered courtyard spans the length of the building, capturing the best of the sun and providing additional al fresco space including a games area.

It's the perfect base for any outdoor adventure, with wildlife in and around the gardens, including pine martens feeding on the patio, red and roe deer, barn owls, tawny owls, buzzards, golden and sea eagles, and goshawks, to name a few!

The Bunkhouse is a new venture. Owners Fay and Niall Rowantree's knowledge of the local area means they can suggest and organise activities to suit every taste. The Bunkhouse is also home to Wild Highland Tours (, the Rowantrees' locally-based tourism guiding service which can take you out to explore the surrounding area.

Prices start at £22 per person per night.  Please contact either Niall or Fay on 01972 500 742 or email - and there's a website at
