Leonid Meteor Shower

The Leonid meteor shower is at its peak over the next few nights, reaching a maximum during the early hours of Saturday.  The best time to look for them is between midnight and dawn.

With an AuroraWatch 'minor geomagnetic activity' alert throughout last night, their chart still looking a bit twitchy, and a new moon setting early leaving a dark sky, we might have the amazing sight of meteors falling against the aurora borealis.
