Even Buzzards Get Wet

Many thanks to Tony Kidd for sending in this sequence of photographs of the Ormsaigbeg buzzard enjoying the recent weather.

Life is being exceptionally hard on him.  We saw him the other day on the ground in one of the croft fields, and we suspect that he was hunting lowly earth worms instead of his usual fare of fat mice.

We've also noticed that he seems to be alone, while this time last year there were no less than four buzzards working this area.  Little wonder he looks so dejected....

....though he cheered up later when the sun came out and he'd moved his perch to the chimney pot on the bothy at Trevor Potts' Ardnamurchan campsite.

Many thanks to Tony Kidd for the pictures.
