Pig Moves

They've moved the pigs again, westwards into Ormsaigbeg - not as far west as earlier rumours had suggested but quite far enough to cause The Diary considerable concern. They're back on Ian Cameron's croft where, earlier this year, they did a great job on the bracken above the road. Now they're clearing the field below the road. It's quite a small field which means they'll be on the move again shortly.

Worse still, The Diary understands that the sow which Hughie MacLachlan has been keeping in a field just along from the shop is in piglet - or whatever the technical term may be. The other day the boar, who's on the left in the picture, was constantly nuzzling up to her in a very amorous way. The idea that there's going to be a constant production-line of piglets which will fill all the fields in Ormaigbeg is too horrible to contemplate.

  1. The pigs syndicate complains still tight casing. A group of wild boars from the Ardennes is under way to support their Scottish colleagues.
