Firemen Strip for Charity

Firemen from the Highlands & Islands Fire and Rescue Service have put together a calendar to raise money for the Scottish Burned Children's Club, a charity which helps children who have been scarred, physically and psychologically, by fire or scalding.

The calendar was launched in Fort William on Saturday, with the stars of the calendar performing on stage, 'in costume', while the originals of their pictures were sold off at auction.

The highest price, £100, was paid for the picture of a fireman from the Kilchoan Brigade. The Diary is not at liberty to reveal the identity of Mr October, except to hint that he was the oldest of the twelve men on display.

Copies of this superb calendar are available for sale for £9.99 through Dave and Rosie Curtis - telephone 01972 510 754.
