Yesterday afternoon, with a brisk westerly blowing and a good swell coming in, the surf was up at Sanna Bay so....
....all it needed was a quick check of conditions before....
....two surfers were turning the Sanna beaches into a home version of Hawaii's famous Waiamea Bay.
They were in the sea for an hour and a half and it was fading light, rather than cold, which brought them in - to find a thermos of Bovril and a cup sitting on the dashboard of their car, courtesy of a local resident. Bet they don't get that at Waiamea Bay!
