Julie Wilkinson has sent the Diary this superb picture of a sparrowhawk. She says, "I captured this chap standing guard over our bird table last night. Beautiful but deadly - all the sparrows were hiding in the bush thankfully. We felt privileged to see him so close up despite the threat to our beloved sparrows."
