The village has been busy with visitors over the long weekend, with the camp site full, the shop doing a brisk trade, and a very well-attended family dance on Saturday in aid of the Play Park.
At times the crows chased the buzzard, at other times the buzzard singled out one of the crows. They didn't make contact and, after about ten minutes of spectacular aerial display, gave up and flew their separate ways. The incident didn't seem serious - the two species co-exist here quite happily - it was almost as if they set out to remind themselves that they aren't really friends.
Walking to the shop this morning we stopped to watch two hoodies harassing a buzzard.
