Pat Glenday is standing down as vice chancellor of Kilchoan University at the end of this month. Pat has done a truly wonderful job of bringing education, in the full sense of the word, into our community. She has run courses as varied as pig butchery, food hygiene, animal tracking, bracken management, sewing, pilates and photography, has put on innumerable evening talks, and has made courses at the University of the Highlands & Islands accessible to all, with her most recent graduate winning a first class honours.
Pat will continue to help in the Learning Centre but Dale Meagan takes up responsibility for developing this wonderful facility still further.
To say a big 'Thank you!' to Pat for all she has done, there's a tea party in the Playpark beside the Community Centre at 3.30pm on Wednesday 27th May.
