Earthquake!

Residents of West Ardnamurchan may well have felt a significant tremor last night, as an earthquake of 2.9 magnitude struck under Fort William about quarter to seven. One report from Sanna claimed: "there was a low rumbling and all the doors started shaking in their frames - it was a bit scary!" Picture frames have also been reported as hanging at funny angles.

This is the second earthquake to hit the local area in a few days.  On 1st July, a 1.3 magnitude tremor was felt in Acharacle.

Many thanks to Seonaid Canning for the tremor report
