Community Garden News

Up at the Community Garden summer is in full swing.  We have recently started stocking the stall with strawberries...,

....calabrese, rainbow chard, spinach, salad and lots more. Tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes and others are soon to follow.

The hungry gap is well and truly over, although many of the winter favourites are still available...  kale anyone?

The bounty of summer is just arriving and will be available from the stall and other local outlets throughout the season.

The garden is on the lighthouse road, opposite the Sonachan Hotel, and the stall is open all day.

If the stall is a little far for you, why not order a weekly veg bag - we can tailor it to suit your requirements, and are happy to do smaller ones for the less hungry among us. They start at £6.50 and are delivered to the Community Centre on Fridays. The most popular size is £10 which includes tatties, onions and mixed leaf salad every week, and then a mix of seasonal vegetables. They can be tailored to your needs, so if you love spinach and want it every week but aren’t so keen on chard then let us know.

For more information and to join the scheme drop us, Anna and Hanno, an email at ardnamurchangarden@gmail.com or give us a call on 01972 510 392.  We also have a Facebook page at  https://www.facebook.com/ardnamurchangardenproduce

Many thanks to Anna & Hanno for story & pictures.
