Storm Damage

There are reports of storm damage coming in. The Cameron's house in Pier Road had the Sky TV dish bracket bent yesterday evening, ruining their watching. Fortunately they have some scrap metal and a handy son (dressed in a survival suit), enabling them to effect a repair - many thanks to Sue for the picture.

The Diary doesn't enjoy being the bearer of bad news, particularly when the recipient is currently in the South Atlantic, but the picture below shows the remains of a 'lobby' which was attached to a caravan. It looks as if an explosion blew it apart, scattering wreckage across Trevor's camp site and the Ormsaigbeg road. The Diary has removed the pieces on the road, but if Trevor wants anything done, perhaps he could contact us.

And there are reports coming in from Achnaha that a new wooden chalet recently built there has lost its roof.

Considering how fierce the gale was yesterday afternoon and into the evening, there has been remarkably little damage - reflecting the fact that storms are not unusual out here.
