First Butterfly

We've enjoyed another beautiful day today, with the temperature soaring to 16C - with the result that the first butterflies were abroad, this one a red admiral which, having survived a pretty grim winter, looked in remarkably good shape.  The white heather in our front garden was crowded with insects, including honey bees and two species of bumblebee.
