From Rachael
The glow grew in strength as we walked along the shores, with the sea calm and only a slight wind, allowing us to sit for a while and appreciate the view without feeling too chilled. After a short while, we figured we'd seen the sunset at its best, and headed back towards the car park.
But to our annoyance, our departure was too early, and as we turned to look back towards the sea, we saw a sky on fire, with a croft house silhouetted against the sky.
A beautiful evening, and certainly one to make me look forward even more to the spring!
Go to EOROPAIDH, they give you information about AURORA
ReplyDeleteIt is very interesting
perhaps the spectacular sunset are due to the Aurora on the Outer HEBRIDES

I've never tested the theory to any extent, but I've seen it described several times that you can get good photos (or just admire the view) for up to half an hour after the sun drops below the horizon.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I particularly like your cottage shot.
