“Both Dr Colebrook and Dr Topham are wholly supportive of the provision of Out of Hours care by District Nurses in Kilchoan. Without the input of the District Nurses, the residents at the western end of the peninsula are at least 45 minutes from the provision of urgent care by any formally trained clinician. This is assuming that the driving conditions are favourable and the GP is not already occupied with a patient elsewhere. We consider that without the appropriate clinical cover patient safety will be compromised.”
I'm sure all members of the West Ardnamurchan community, and those who come up here and know us, will join me in thanking the two doctors, and their practice partner, Julie Colebrook, for their courage in speaking out.
