Enterprise

When faced with a problem, like how to get peanuts out of a feeder, there's the conventional approach....

....until someone comes up with a better idea....

....which, of course, is copied by someone else....

....and someone else, until everyone's doing it....

....except, of course, those of us who aren't too bothered about peanuts.

In our garden, it's usually the blue tits that are first to exploit a new idea. In this case, it was a great tit, followed by a blue tit and then, very unusually, a chaffinch, a species which isn't normally very original.
