The first large cruise ship of the season came into the Sound of Mull this morning and has spent the day anchored off Tobermory. She's
Cruise & Maritime's
Astoria, launched as the
Stockholm in 1946, so she's fairly long in the tooth. The
Stockholm is infamous for its involvement in the collision with the
Andrea Doria off Nantucket in 1956.
