....a large and very finely marked adder. The adders must have had a pretty thin time this summer, with the temperatures low and fairly persistent rainfall, so it's good to see one out hunting. The black adder which we had at the back of the house seems to have moved: he was spotted a few weeks ago on a neighbouring croft.

Are the antlers fully grown now ready for the rut?
