Jonathan Ball

Jonathan Ball, who has owned the Ferry Stores for the last ten years, died on Thursday evening after a brave fight with cancer. As well as running a remarkably stocked shop, Jonathan was very active in the community, being on the boards of the Community Council, Community Development Company, Community Centre and Lighthouse Trust.

Our deepest condolences go to his wife Susanne and to his family.

  1. As sometimes visitors to the area (Glenbeg and Fascadale mostly) the visit to the Ferry Stores was always a pleasure. Such a well run and well stocked shop, we always seemed to find something we didn't know we had forgotten.
My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

  7. So very sorry to hear this sad news. We have been regular visitors to Kilchoan for many years and have often appreciated Jonathan 's help in the Ferry Stores. He once recommended a Viognier wine for the last day of our stay. I'll buy one and drink to his memory.
