Butterflies

These pictures are from the Raptor, who writes of the first, "This is a dark green fritillary but from the underside which forced me to get in touch with the butterfly conservation group to help identify it, they got back to me within two days, great service from a charitable group."

The Raptor sent his picture to Butterfly Conservation  Scotland - email scotland@butterfly-conservation.org

The Raptor didn't identify his second picture, but it looks like a speckled wood, Pararge aegeria, a very beautiful but much more uncommon butterfly around here.
