Many thanks to Kilchoan Early Bird for this picture of two adders doing what adders do in the long grass on a warm autumn day. It seems that, with the late improvement in the weather, our local adder population is active before winter sets in.
He also sends us this picture of a very beautiful Highlander cooling its feet in a burn. It may be the same one which we noticed on our way home from Sanna the other day, when we too....
....took its photograph.
Must be the same one - the hairstyles are identical!
