More Local Produce at the Community Garden Shop

From Dale Meegan:
All the hard work by our grower, Anna, and the many willing volunteers has reaped dividends as we began to harvest a range of vegetables. This week the garden shop (opposite the Sonachan Hotel) had, not only bags of different salad leaves (a staple of the past few weeks), but also beetroot, spinach, kale, and broccoli. The shop is re-stocked regularly.

In addition we are also experimenting with selling other local produce such as home baking and free range eggs, and we still have some donated new work clothes, jeans, work trousers, shirts and jackets for sale at knock down prices.

For anyone who would like to order their vegetables on a regular basis the ‘veg bag’ scheme is staring up again in July. Bags generally include onions, potatoes and carrots plus other seasonal vegetables as they become ready. Bags can be ordered weekly or less often if you prefer, and normally cost £10 or £15. However, if you would like a smaller bag this can also be accommodated. Send your enquiry or order to ardnamurchangarden@gmail.com
