There are moments when The Diary resents the bag-loads of peanuts which seem to disappear down the throats of the local blue tits, but yesterday they more than made up for it.The Diary's anemometer isn't working properly. At low speeds it doesn't turn round. Email appeals to both retailer and manufacturer - the machine is still within warranty - have had no effect. The tits obviously overheard a conversation between The Diary and its wife about the deceitfulness of modern retailers, and took matters into their own hands.
The anemometer still doesn't work properly, but it's the thought that counts.
