By 2pm the southeast wind had dropped and the clouds had almost cleared, leaving tendrils of mist across the new-laid snow. This view was taken in almost the opposite direction, from Ormsaigbeg looking east across the bay towards Pier Road, with the tide coming in. Kilchoan Community Centre, with its two wind turbines, is at lower right, and the Kilchoan House Hotel at lower left. The low peak sticking out of the forestry is Beinn nan Losgann, the hill of the frog or toad.

Clearing Skies
It sleeted for most of yesterday morning from low, mucky clouds that hid the view, but they cleared slowly from about eleven onwards to reveal snow on the hills above the 150m contour. This is a view from Pier Road looking west towards the area round the shop, taken at one o'clock, with Kilchoan Bay at low tide in the foreground and the peak of Stacan Dubha behind.
