Back in June of last year, the Ardnamurchan History & Heritage Association heard that it had been successful in obtaining a grant of £9,300 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to promoting the heritage of this area. One of the things which were central to our bid was to set up a website so that people from all over the world could see what Ardnamurchan had to offer and might decide to come and see it 'for real'.
Working with website developers, we now have a site up and running. There is a great deal of work still to do in populating it with material but we now feel there is enough there to give everyone an idea of what we are trying to achieve.
The website is at http://heritageardnamurchan.co.uk. Comment and criticism would be very much appreciated. We are also looking for new members, particularly those who might like to be involved in developing the website further, and for material which could be uploaded onto it.
Looks like a very nice website to me, I've put that into my favourites for further reading.
ReplyDeleteI agree it looks a very nicely presented site and I too will add to my favourites.
ReplyDeleteHowever I think Jon's daily blog takes the first prize for the wide range of interesting topics and regularly updated local news.
Keep up the good work Jon and friends on what I suspect is a self funded. project.
Thank you for the comments and good to hear it meets with some approval. The costs of the blog are minimal - it's done for pleasure. Jon
