Corran Battle Continues

The organisation campaigning on our behalf for a free, sustainable crossing at Corran - so vital to all of us who live and holiday on this peninsula - has issued a press release today giving an update on the present situation - and pretty dismal reading it makes.  The text is published in full on the West Ardnamurchan News - here.

    1. I'm not quite sure as to what other "themes" would be relevant to a site such as this.
Banger racing, pub crawls, Radio 1 banter, maybe? No thanks. These are well catered for, elsewhere.

We come to the Peninsula every year - the Diary feeds, comprehensively, our's and other's love of the area.

  2. I live here all year round, not local to the area, indigenous to the area, with traceable roots to 1380. Bad manners on your part & bad use of language, us locals.
    Keep going Jon.
Supportive indigenous person not associated with us locals.

Ignore Anonymous, Jon: I don't know what I would do without my daily 'fix'.

  4. May I suggest the header on the DIARY confirms its true purpose.

The Corran ferry is a vital element of our community life here. It is a "moving bridge". Bridges in Scotland are toll free. This should be too. Unless the true cost of the ferry 'option' is understood by Government, the prospects for its replacement with a new link - when the present vessels come to the end of their economic life, or are damaged - are remote indeed.

  5. I read the diary every day, and holiday here every year, unfortunately i live near London so it lifts my spirits to know places like this still exist and Jon takes the time to inform us about daily life there.
Keep up the good work !
